5V USB LED Strip Light Kit
The 5V USB LED Strip Light Kit is a versatile and cost-effective lighting solution, ideal for Design & Technology, STEM and electronics projects. Powered by a standard 5V USB connection, the LED strip can be used with almost any USB power source, including mobile phone chargers, laptops, desktop computers, USB wall adapters and portable power banks. This makes it a safe, low-voltage option for classroom use.
Each kit includes:
1 × 1 metre 5V USB LED strip
6 × Open-ended USB power cables
The LED strip features a strong self-adhesive backing, allowing it to be securely fixed to a variety of materials including wood, MDF, plywood, acrylic, card, plastic and metal. Simply peel away the protective backing and apply it directly to your project.
The strip can be cut to length at the marked cutting points in multiples of three LEDs, allowing you to customise the lighting to suit your design. Even the smallest section of three LEDs will operate effectively from a 5V USB power supply.
The supplied open-ended USB cables can be soldered directly to the LED strip, providing a simple and reliable connection for permanent installations. Regardless of the length used, the strip is designed to operate safely from a maximum input voltage of 5V.
